"We’re
back safely and just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our
stay at Casa Marconi. It was everything that we wanted and we loved
Capena. We’ve driven to Italy quite often and had city breaks in Rome
staying in Trastevere which we feel is like a big city version of
Capena. What we particularly wanted this time was experience of living
in a small Italian town and this is exactly what we got. I’m currently
doing GCSE Italian as a ‘senior’ evening-class student and our stay was
worth an awful lot of hours of tuition! Casa Marconi was splendid and
Pucci very helpful – please pass on our thanks to her again. "We
thoroughly enjoyed a meal at L’Anatra Grassa and very much hope it
proves a successful venture for Michaela and her husband. In
conversation Pucci mentioned some plans for offering a ‘cooking’
related holiday – my wife would be very interested. If it were ever to
be linked with learning Italian (for me – I like eating Italian food
not cooking it) would be irresistible..." September 2007, Terry Gwynne, Newcastle-upon-Tyne
"Just
a line to say what a great time we had in the apartment and how
impressed we were with the thoughtful way it was fitted out. Really
spacious and comfortable – even plenty of hangers! Capena was charming
and we spent a lot more time in the town than we intended. The House
Notes were very useful – Rome by car and train was straightforward as
described. Restaurant advice we also took – Big Ali's was great food
and value – so impressed with L'Anatra Grassa we ate there 3 times." September 2007, Roy and Linda Deacon, Middleton Cheney, Oxfordshire
"Casa
Galilei provides the best possible holiday experience one could wish
for. With dramatic views across the gorge, the house is located in the
oldest part of the settlement, on a site that has been in use for some
3,000 years. At the same time, its spacious, cool rooms and, above all,
tasteful and modern interior all ensure that your stay will be most
comfortable. However, the best part of staying at Casa Capena is that
you will feel part of the local community, guided by Pucci's unfailing
support for the visitor!" August 2007, Dr RE Roth, Cambridge
“We enjoyed ourselves in Old Capena – we felt Italiano all week. Ciao!” May 2007, Mrs & Mrs Wayne Taylor, New Kent, VA, USA “Staying
in Casa Galilei was a wonderful experience. My family and I truly
enjoyed the old town charm that Capena has offered. I hope to return
again to wonderful and sunny Italy.” May 2007, Monica Sisi, Chicago, USA
“Had
a great time in Capena. Places we visited which we can recommend are
Cerveteri, Orvieto and Villa Adriana. Had a great time exploring Rome
too. Went to some great restaurants to and can particularly recommend
L'Anatra Grassa, which has amazing food. Da Felllicino up the hill is
good for standard Italian fare too. Thanks for a great week in Casa
Marconi and particular thanks to Pucci for looking after us and making
us feel welcome in Capena (we've left the directions Pucci gave us for
a great parking spot in Rome. 2 euros for the whole day and really
central! Just over the bridge from the Olympic stadium). April 2007, Sophie & Nathan, Tyne and Wear
“Casa Marconi has been tastefully renovated. We loved it here! Many thanks to Pucci for a great welcome. See you soon." April 2007, Joan & Chris Capaldi, Stalmine, Lancs “Had
a lovely holiday here in Capena, nice weather – very lucky. Very old
and interesting place, might return here one day! Very handy apartment." February 2007, Freda & Richard Jones, Gwynedd, Wales “Have
very much enjoyed exploring Capena (+ nearby Rome). A friendly, genuine
place with a fascinating history, attractive surroundings and welcoming
people. Excellent choice of restaurants too. Loved the apartment. Very
well adapted and tastefully furnished. Thanks!" February 2007, Helen and Richard Boyles, Brixham, Devon
