Cookery classes

Rita Monastero
Casa Capena is now offering guests the opportunity to learn the basics of Italian cookery in the congenial surroundings of your holiday home – and at an affordable price. Your mentor will be Rita Monastero, cookery teacher and food writer extraordinaire.
Based in Rome, Rita works regularly for several well-known schools throughout Italy and specialises in team building. She is the author of Lievito e Coccole (‘Yeast and Cuddles’, Felici Editore, 2009), a book on bread and pizza making, and of Biscoccole (Felici Editore, 2011), on biscuits and appetisers. In addition to teaching and writing, Rita works as a home economist for a famous Italian TV show, for which she creates tantalising and mouth-watering dishes. Her love of food reflects a passion for traditions and for the use of the best seasonal produce.
Rita’s Casa Capena classes cost from €35 per participant, including a cookery lesson lasting approximately 2½ hours and all ingredients. After the class you will be able to eat the results. NB wine is not included.
“Our cooking class was super fun and I would recommend it to anyone interested in learning some local cuisine and having some fun.”
