Having a great time playing the Signora in Capena – just arrived at midnight the day before yesterday.

Had a chat with Nando, who is doing up the cantina in Piazza del Popolo. Amazingly enough, he is making a salt grotto down there with chunks of pink salt imported from the Himalayas. Apparently a day lying in a room lined with that is the equivalent of 3 days at the beach. The walls are lined with translucent pink salt bricks like the ones on the right, with lights behind them. Only in Capena!!!
